A MESSAGE FROM YOUR COACH AND PRACTICE INFORMATION

 
Parents,
 
I hope everyone is enjoying our hot summer break. The C-Team will officially begin practice on Monday, August 5th at the Tolland Middle School (Baseball outfield area). A few of the D/C team coaches may be holding some optional preseason workouts. Again, these are optional but feel free to have your son attend if you like. To date, we have 39 players registered to play football this year. I would like to pass along the following information:
 
Please encourage your boys to do some running, pushups, sit-up’s and  plank (core) work, over the next few weeks. Those returning from last year should remember our plank exercise stations. If you need to, just Google it. We anticipate running the boys through a Physical Fitness Evaluation Test on August 12th and then again sometime at the end of August. This test will be similar to the benchmarks set forth by the Presidents Challenge Program: National Physical Fitness Awards Qualifying Standards (50th percentile).  The first test will give the coaching staff a baseline on everyone physical fitness, so we can plan accordingly for the month. Please get your son “moving” prior to our first week of practice, otherwise he may feel a little overwhelmed / out of shape.
 
Please make arrangements to bring a copy of your son’s birth certificate during the first week of practice. For those returning C and D players, I already have your paperwork on file. We also need a Team Parent for the season. This TP will assist in collecting paperwork, raffle ticket distribution and collection for the team.
 
Practice: Week #1 -  5:55 pm – 7:30 pm
 
Practice will start promptly at 6:00 pm every night. After the first week of conditioning, practice may also extend to 8:00 pm if necessary.
 
Please make sure your son brings enough water to practice. They really can’t have too much.
 
Please have them in shorts, t-shirts and cleats (if available).
 
Based on past experience, please be mindful of them eating a large dinner before practice (self explanatory).

GAME DAY INFORMATION

 

All players must be at the game day field by 1:45 pm on Sundays

 

C Team Roster
